7 Months Old

Well Brookly is 7 Months Old and I can't believe it!

Brooklyn is:
    30 inches tall and in the 99.87% for height
    18 pounds and in the 67% for weight
    She still only has 2 teeth
    is crawling and standing up on furniture and her crib
    Loves bath time and her mommy! :)
   

Guilt Free Cookie!

Honestly this is such a good cookie! I eat like 5 at a time! Its so chewy and delicious and really pretty easy and healthy.

Ingredients:
   3 ripe mashed bananas
   1 C. raisins
   1/3 C apple sauce
   2 C quick oats
   1 Tbsp vanilla (or 1 Tbsp brown sugar)

Mix all together. Bake at 350 for 15 mins or until lightly brown around the edges.

Thats it! Super easy and super good!

(I put yogurt covered raisins in this batch)
 
   

Infinity Scarfs

So I went to Target and saw a scarf I loved!....$15! Nope, I can't pay that for just a scarf....

So then I went to Forever XI and found a cute infinity scarf for $8.80.  Much better! So I bought it, brought it home and then thought....heck I could make these with just one easy seam!

These are the two I made in like 3 mins and I'm so excited!

6 Months!

Ohmigoodness time is just flying! I can't believe Brooklyn is 6 months old!

This past month:

   -her love of people is just growing! If we go out in public and people don't say hi to her she gets super sad! She is such a happy girl and LOVES people!
    -Is teething! She is getting two bottom teeth.
    -Sits up on her own
     
  -learned to hold her bottle and LOVES it!

   -is eating solids now and loving it! (except she HATES avocados!)

   -has mastered the airplane

   -doesn't quite know what to do after getting in this position (thank goodness!) although I see crawling in the near future...

   -loves to chew the end of her binkie...weird

This past month as a family we went to Disneyland California, got and watched Frozen (like everybody else in the world lol), sunbathed with mom on the patio, and have just enjoyed our time outside in the California sunshine!! :) We are going to miss it here!

Disneyland California!

Disneyland California was so much fun!  :) It was Alex's first time and he just loved it! A few of my highlights was reuniting with Jamie my best friend from Alabama!! :)  Another one was watching Alex grin only get bigger and bigger as the day passed and of course eating a turkey leg!

 

The first ride on Splash Mountain was pretty dry but oh man did we get soaked on round 2!

What an amazing day! We had an absolute blast! And I couldn't help but take some pics of Brooklyn in her Mini Mouse outfit! ($5.97 at walmart. yes!)

5 Months Old!!

Brooklyn is 5 Months Old!! I can't believe how fast time has gone!

In the past month she is:
    * saying "hi" and "hey"
    * sitting up!
    * LOVES PEOPLE! everyone she meets is her new best friend!
    * loves to read with mom!

 Went to Ventura to see Kristina Crook!!!
 

  * Brooklyn loved the sand under her feet!
  * Was kind of scared of the ocean waves that came after her! lol

Granola

I love making granola because its great for a snack or as cereal! This is how I make mine.

Ingredients:
      Mix all together:
      8 C. Old Fashion Oats
      11/2 C. raisins
      11/2 C. peanuts
      11/2 C. sliced almonds

      In a separate pot boil
      1 C honey
      2 Tbsp vanilla
      1/4 C oil

Mix the boil mixture into the dry mixture. Bake 350 for 20-25 mins. Don't burn! After its done baking let it sit for about 10-15 mins.  Crumble and store in air tight container.  Eat and enjoy!

The raisins, peanuts and almonds can be switched out for whatever sounds good to you! Here are some I have tried:

cranberries
cranstrawberries
coconut flakes
peacans
yogurt covered raisins
